【摘要】:Thistestmethoddifferentiatesamongwheelbearinggreaseshavingdistinctlydifferenthigh-temperaturecharacteristics.Itisnottheequivalentoflongtimeservicetests,norisitintendedtodistinguishbetweentheproductshavingsimilarhigh-temperatureperformanceproperties.Thistestmethodhasproventobehelpfulinscreeninggreaseswithrespecttolifeperformanceforautomotivewheelbearingapplications.1.1Thistestmethodcoversalaboratoryprocedureforevaluatingthehigh-temperaturelifeperformanceofwheelbearinggreaseswhentestedunderprescribedconditions.Note18212;Changestothistestmethodinthe1985revisionincreasedtestseverity.Resultswillnotbecomparablewithdatafromearlierprocedures.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.2.1Exception8212;Apparatusdimensionsininchesaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificwarningstatements,see8.1-8.4.
