【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusefulforthedeterminationoftheanions:chloride,nitrate,andsulfateinatmosphericwetdeposition.Fig.X1.1intheappendixrepresentscumulativefrequencypercentileconcentrationplotsofchloride,nitrate,andsulfateobtainedfromanalysesofover5000wetdepositionsamples.Thesedatamaybeusedasanaidintheselectionofappropriatecalibrationsolutions.(3)1.1Thistestmethodisapplicabletothedeterminationofchloride,nitrate,andsulfateinatmosphericwetdeposition(rain,snow,sleet,andhail)bychemicallysuppressedionchromatography(1).ForadditionalapplicationsrefertoTestMethodD4327.1.2Theconcentrationrangesforthistestmethodarelistedbelow.Therangetestedwasconfirmedusingtheinterlaboratorycollaborativetest(seeTable1forstatisticalsummaryofthecollaborativetest).MDL(mg/L)(2)RangeofMethod(mg/L)RangeTested(mg/L)Chloride0.030.09-2.00.15-1.36Nitrate0.030.09-5.00.15-4.92Sulfate0.030.09-8.00.15-6.521.3Themethoddetectionlimit(MDL)isbasedonsingleoperatorprecision(2)andmaybehigherorlowerforotheroperatorsandlaboratories.Theprecisionandbiasdatapresentedareinsufficienttojustifyuseatthislowlevel,however,manyworkershavefoundthatthistestmethodisreliableatlowerlevelsthanthosethatweretested.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificprecautionarystatementsaregiveninSection9.
