【摘要】:ISO/IEC8632providesafileformatsuitableforthestorageandretrievalofpicturedescriptioninformation.Thefileformatconsistsofanorderedsetofelementsthatmaybeusedtodescribepicturesinawaythatiscompatiblebetweensystemsofdifferentarchitectures,compatiblewithdevicesofdifferingcapabilitiesanddesign,andmeaningfultoapplicationconstituencies.Thispicturedescriptionincludesthecapabilityfordescribingstaticimages.Theelementsspecifiedprovidefortherepresentationofawiderangeofpicturesonawiderangeofgraphicaldevices.Theelementsareorganizedintogroupsthatdelimitmajorstructures(metafiles,pictures,andapplicationstructures),thatspecifytherepresentationsusedwithinthemetafile,thatcontrolthedisplayofthepicture,thatperformbasicdrawingactions,thatcontroltheattributesofthebasicdrawingactions,thatallowapplication-specificstructuringtobeoverlaidonthegraphicalcontent,andthatprovideaccesstonon-standarddevicecapabilities.Themetafileisdefinedinsuchawaythat,inadditiontosequentialaccesstothewholemetafile,randomaccesstoindividualpicturesandindividualcontext-independentapplicationstructuresiswell-defined.Applicationswhichrequirerandomaccesstopicturesand/orcontext-independentapplicationstructureswithinpicturesmay,withinthemetafile,definedirectoriestothesepicturesand/orcontext-independentapplicationstructures.Themetafilemaythenbeopenedandrandomlyaccessedwithoutinterpretingtheentiremetafile.Inadditiontoafunctionalspecification,twostandardencodingsofthemetafilesyntaxarespecified.Theseencodingsaddresstheneedsofapplicationsthatrequiresmallmetafilesizeplusminimumefforttogenerateandinterpret,andmaximumflexibilityforahumanreaderoreditorofthemetafile.ThispartofISO/IEC8632describestheformatusinganabstractsyntax.TheremainingpartsofISO8632specifystandardizedencodingsthatconformtothissyntax:ISO/IEC8632-3specifiesabinaryencoding;ISO/IEC8632-4specifiesacleartextencoding.
